American non-compete clauses could become a thing of the past thanks to a new ruling

Due to a new ruling by the FTC, nearly all non-compete clauses (current and future) will be made illegal and unenforceable. But this new ruling will be challenged in court by the Chamber of Commerce and might not come into effect immediately (or at all if the challenge is successful).
