I’m generally very careful and have never gotten a true flat tire, but I got a pinch flat, which wasn’t fun. No actual punctures through the tire yet.

I’ve tried to go as long as possible without using slime, since I hear it can be a mess. Thankfully I’ve been mostly fine with tuffy liners. Nothing has gotten through yet!

I don’t have much to add for the actual bike selection. But are you handy and also able to push the bike with your own weight in a worst case scenario? It’s really not fun having to push your 70lb ebike up a hill when the battery decides to crap out on you, or dealing with a flat in 40° weather.

Yep, my degree could have likely been done in 2-3yrs, or still 4yrs with more breathing room for internships, jobs or college extra curricular activities.

I am not against those extra classes, per say, but they can at least be made to fit the majors better.

My major was Advertising. During that time I had to take English, and instead of creating an English class about Copywriting (which is a big part of my field with writing scripts, voice overs, creating narratives, translating, localizing, finding the right voice, tone, flow, etc) they made us take a class, where we read a book and just wrote a review about it. Rinse and repeat.

Same for science. I loved my color theory class, there wasn’t enough of it. I would have taken a course that was just dedicated to the color Red if given the chance.

What about a class on the ethics of advertising?

Most of my electives were rehashing the same things they already taught us prior to college. My initial thought it’s that it’s pure laziness, but it’s likely just a symptom of not having enough educators. It’s much easier to make 100 different majors take the same standard English class, than it would be to create a unique English curriculum for 100 different majors.

As for the other part of your post. As someone who went to college and 60% of my classes had nothing to do with my major, I do believe we can trim down what we are forcing students to do for degrees. I feel like these extra classes are just bloat to take more money.

From what I’ve heard facebook is very much alive and well… at least outside of major US cities and in other countries. I was just reading recently how small towns basically use facebook pages instead of websites or keeping google maps up to date. They also still use groups to coordinate events. It’s still apparently the easiest way to get information out?

Not of the drivers, but fedex themselves. If you do not get a receipt, it can be very hard apparently to even prove you dropped off a package because their system for their company is stupid.

I had my wife drop off my laptop to be fixed at a fed ex. A few weeks passed by and I found it odd I hadn’t received any email. I called the tech company and they said they hadn’t received anything. I called up fedex and they said they had nothing in their system they could easily find of a shipment. You’d think a company of that size would have daily logs of what they are doing as a company.

Many phone calls and different departments later, neither company would take responsibility for the claim. I went in person to the store to see if they had my wife going in person on video, but their excuse was their security system writes over itself pretty quickly. The main manager tried helping me look for the package in their system, but from his expression and tone after looking at his screen, it seemed to have gotten lost along the way, but he didn’t want to verbally acknowledge it.

I tried for weeks to get money from anyone, but after much research there was nothing I could do. Then out of the blue, 6 months later I heard my bell. I go downstairs and see a package with my address hand written on a box, I take it up and open the box… and it’s my laptop… in the same packaging, unopened… 6 months later… no notice or anything from the many case numbers I had. The warranty period had already lapsed, so there was nothing I could do about the issue I was trying to fix. It still technically works years later at least. I still wonder from time to time wth even happened.

The IT Crowd - British - Comedy - Most Americans I know have never watched the show

Misfits - British - Scifi - One of the best superhero shows I’ve ever watched. Very down to Earth and not your typical end of the world scenario stuff.

Sherlock - British - You may have watched this but an amazing detective show that basically jump started Benedict Cumberbach’s career

Travelers - Canadian - Scifi Time Travel - The setting is the US, but it was made by a Canadian company. One of the best time travel shows I’ve seen and it’s sitting at 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Continuum - Canadian - Sci-Fi time travel - It did eventually air on BBC Amerrics and mahbe the Syfy channel back when people still had cable?

Orphan Black - Canadian show. SciFi Cloning. This one became really popular so there may be chance you watched it. There is a new series set in this world that I haven’t watched yet.
