Every time I try this, I end up craving something sweet and when I do go to the store I go way overboard and get tons of stuff and eat an entire box of cookies in one sitting and then I'm right back to my normal habits again. I can't find a way to resolve this issue. Any advice on that?

Idk I know anytime I see a trailer for something based on an existing IP im highly skeptical. In rare cases it turns out to be good (Fallout TV show for example) but for as many successes there are tons of failures. But an interesting new idea, even if inspired by other things I like grabs my attention even more.

I've only used Microsoft Teams (don't know any other variation than that, maybe Business?) in a few jobs now and it does what it needs to. Having chats, group chats, sending a file, quick phone call. It's all in one place, and everyone is using it. It's much faster to just ping someone on Teams than it is to send an email and wait days for a response or try to catch them in the office (cause who's actually in the office anymore?)

A lot of times I can ping someone on teams and get a quick response and move on with my tasks rather than add it to the dozens of emails I'm waiting on responses to to do anything

How would you compare the game difficulty?

What's wrong with Teams? It seems much easier to navigate plus integration with other 365 apps is really nice.

My friends and I tried it and it freaking worked. It was insane. All of us are incredibly skeptical but it worked. One of us knew where a pipe underground was on a plot of land and we took turns and nailed it everytime, even when blindfolded. It is insane.

Best guess is come kind of mild electrical field generated by rushing water or something that moves the rod ever so slightly (you have to hold them very gently so they have the freedom to move).

It's so weird, I don't believe it's supernatural, it has to be something scientific but it's beyond my understanding.

I'm not doing a bingo card because I just don't have the time to play enough games. I get through 1, maybe 2, games a month depending on their length.

But I started something Ive been putting off for 14 years in the spirit of burning the backlog. I finally started StarCraft 2!

I'm enjoying it a lot! I love the rpg elements added in, that's a pretty unique thing I don't think I've ever seen another rts do. And considering it's a 14 year old game, that is rather shocking to me that no one has done it.

The story is interesting, I'm early in the Zerg campaign now and excited to see where things go from here and how the overarching plot plays out. Good pickup from StarCraft 1 plot points which I just replayed last year.

All in all, loving it so far, but dreading the Protoss campaign as they're my least favorite to play as, and the Zeratul missions in WoL make them seem even worse than in SC1.

Why are people putting time limits on their boycotts? That isn't how it's supposed to work. When the reddit thing happened they said 2 day boycott and reddits reaction was HA, wait it out. Then it changed to be a few more days, they still said wait it out. It was only when it turned into an indefinite blackout that reddit actually got scared and did something (shitty and terrible, but an actual reaction).

One month might dip their figures, but with a time limit, why would they do anything different?

A boycott only works when it's sustained and has a real affect on the company being boycotted. When they know it'll only be a few days, or a month, they have no reason to change what they're doing.

He delves into the idea of a backlog and what it means to work on and finish it. Highly entertaining and introspective. If you enjoyed this I would checkout his follow up a year later also.

TLDW: The gist is, backlogs seem overwhelming because they're all in our heads. It helps a lot of you sit down and make an organized list. I made a spreadsheet like he did in the video and it has helped me immensely. Gives me a great overview of all the games I want to play and stats I'm interested in. You don't have to go this complicated, you can literally just make a list of the titles. But writing down, having an actual list you can look at is immensely helpful and I highly recommend it.

I wrote a fiction book, but haven't published it yet, it's mostly finished, I made many many edit passes and got feedback from a few people, but wanted to get more feedback before finalizing it.

I haven't touched it in a few years at this point, and my girlfriend as a Christmas present last year took it and made a one off printed version, but she also made a few edits before sending it. I don't think she understands a few rules about fiction writing like how dialogue for different characters is supposed to be a separate line and stuff like that.

It was a really sweet gift, and I love it, but in just skimming through it, I could find several places where she edited what she thought was a good grammar change or formatting change and I can immediately tell.

There was even a couple sentences she edited the words for, and I could remember the exact way I phrased the sentence and it was a bit confusing, so I saw how when she was editing she changed it to be something else I didn't mean because it was phrased poorly.

So I would say I have a fairly intimate knowledge of my book, if years later I can remember exactly how I phrased something when it's changed to something else.

Yeah if you played them all one after the other it would get boring sure, but split it up with other games. Ill play a Far Cry, then play other games for a while, 6 months, a year maybe, then do another Far Cry.

They're fun games, I don't get the hate, unless they just hate the formula but then why are they playing them?

Finally started Far Cry Primal as I work my way through the Far Cry series. Only a couple hours in but really loving it so far despite having to troubleshoot some issues to get it to work in the first place (the game doesn't like USB audio for some reason, so I had to run my speakers directly to my PC instead of through my monitor like I normally do. Don't understand why but it is what it is)

But it's pretty fun so far. I love the village building element, and I wish that was even more expanded than what it seems to be so far. I've always wanted a game like this that has some incremental game elements to it, where NPCs can gather resources and help build, which this game seems to have a lite version of that.

So it almost scratches that itch.

But otherwise, an interesting take on the Far Cry formula, I wasn't expecting to like the setting very much as it's quite a departure from the staples of the series, but I'm digging it so far

It's perfectly able to play solo, somewhat easier in fact. I also don't mind a grind if it's done well and I think Grounded is done very well. I'd recommend trying it out
