I thought Skydance was something of a lock at this point, but anyone can surprise anybody at this point. Sony's MO is to be an arms dealer in the streaming war, but would they dismantle Paramount+ when they could claim and infuse it with Sony content?

My major issue with the ending
Two things that kind of annoy me about the magic decision. In universe, we have no idea of the implications of turning off magic across all of everything. Ponyhead and her family seemed to survive it well enough, but they made a point of having some of the counsel members of magic no longer be alive due to that decision. That's also a decision that Star made for every creature in existence without input, and if the show's message is that the monarchy shouldn't unilaterally make decisions to make their subjects lives worse in the name of their own values and pride, then it's a bit of a mixed message in the finale.
Out of universe, it's kind of a "flip the table" solution to governance and revolution that so happens to work out, and the show frames it as entirely the right thing to do because magic is the tool of the oppressors and if you take it away the world is better off for it." Maybe that's true, but it needs to be better established and not brought up and an option at the end of the penultimate episode. Maybe it would have gone down better if this was something of last resort, or explicitly the Royal Magic was cut down as opposed to all magic across all creation, or it was the only way to stop the death spell, but as presented, the whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth.
Not to take anything away from you, your feelings and how the characters were represented, this is how I feel and I thought it landed sour.

Unfortunately, it's a case of "it gets good by season 3".

Second "A Place further than the Universe" and "Violet Evergarden" though.

It a good thing that the 2024 election is the only one that matters and no other election will decide the fate of the country.
Figures the one thing we get bipartisan support on in this country is to cut off access to social media the United States doesn’t have soft power over. Really shows what the score is on this whole World Wide Web experience.

The most recent comic I read was Ultimate Spider-Man #4, as my brother has a pull on Kindle and we share libraries. This book was weird by Marvel standards, not being built around a fight or even much of an external conflict so much as a dinner date Spidey has to attend that is deeply, deeply uncomfortable for him and the audience. Very similar energy to the scene from Homecoming where Toomes is driving his kid and Spidey to Homecoming, talking around stuff, I know you know, good stuff. I like a book where Spidey is green, and the juggling of his lives between Peter Parker and Spider-Man isn’t just scheduling but a morality question. Do the right thing, but how much, and too what end? That’s still a new question for this iteration of the character, and I appreciate the viewpoint.
My legacy pull is Monstress, and I’m just starting with Book Two, aka Volume 4, aka Chapter 19. This art is incredible, the world is fleshed out, they throw a lot of characters and world building at you but the nature of it being a road show means that as long as your main characters are alright, you’re gonna have a pretty good time, and Maika Halfwolf is an interesting character to be around.
Finally, I want to add at least one webcomic to this roundup, so here is the latest from Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal. That’s probably not where all children’s books come from, but I have noticed a couple.
