I think this innovation of challenges that can be permanently failed (via wagering) is super interesting. Right now, if I need to find a point of improvement I can find is that some of the one-try challenges did not seem exciting enough.
Spoilers
Like for example, when they correctly got GIRAFFE or COHABITATION, there was not much more celebration because it was a one-shot? As opposed to the shrimp barbie and the carnival one which required more tries and was more exciting IMO. -

Hello, every now and then I find myself looking for open-source "self-hosted" (VPS accepted) Google photos alternatives.
I have searched every now and then but I have never found something I felt that suits my needs.
I don't mind setting it up myself with command lines and stuff from an empty VPS as long as the monthly fees are pushed to a minimum.
I do have a certain set of constraints and I was wondering what would be the best app to do it. Any app that I end up trying fail one of these somehow. Or it is an app that I couldn't test adequately on my 2GB RAM VPS. Should I be upgrading first and then testing them?
Here are my constraints:
I would like to be able to share photos privately to friends and family. Like maybe a secret link to share photos or albums with friends.
I would like to be able to view photos on mobile, using Internet. I don't mind opening a mobile web app but I would like to be able to show it.
I would like to have some privacy-respecting face recognition. This also opens up the question of what RAM of VPS I should be using.
I would like to leave the file and folder structure untouched. I have already somehow arranged the files into albums by using folders so bonus points if the app figures that out. However, I would bite the bullet if there is a good solution that asks to "copy" the files into a new folder thereby doubling the storage needed. But I hope to avoid it.
Any help towards the right direction would be appreciated!

As far as I’m concerned, the 30$ a...I love watching Jet Lag and apart from the merch which have unfortunately high shipping prices to Europe, I didn’t see any other way to support them but Nebula.
As far as I’m concerned, the 30$ a year Nebula subscription I took was just to support them and there is the added bonus that I discover other quality shows without ads.

My go-to place for « free » toilets are the McDonald’s. The toilets there have locks and they write the codes on the receipts so only paying customers can access it. But there is enough traffic that people hold the door for each other so that not everyone needs the code.

Highly depends on where you want to regularly go and where you plan on staying imo. I live 30 mins by foot from the center so I have the choice of walking or taking a bus. Your mileage may vary.
There’s also the official app called TBM where you can buy tickets and look at the prices to see whether it makes more sense to get a bike or not.

I am posting to get your opinions on something that happened tonight.
Music started blasting from my neighbor’s place at 12-ish with some people screaming. Our corridor has a WhatsApp group and I wasn’t 100% sure which neighbor it is so I messaged there at around 12:30am.
I chose my words to be as polite as possible… dunno if it was polite enough. Something like: hey to the people who are having the party, have fun but please adapt the noise accordingly with the time with a thanks emoji.
They replied apologetically and added that it was their birthday. Didn’t feel like it was being used as an excuse but more an explanation.
Thinking maybe I should have let it slide regardless of whether it was their birthday or not but I did wake up exceptionally early this morning and needed some sleep after a hard day’s work.
Am I being too anal about it? How would you handle such a situation with noise?

I’m quite indifferent to the trophy ceremony.
On one hand, it feels a bit forced but it’s one of those things they thought would be a one-off and eventually became a tradition. On another, it gives an excuse to see them all being friends after watching them battle over the last four days.
